Abstract Ticks are arthropod ectoparasites of great medical and veterinary importance, since it causes lesions in hosts, and transmit to pathogens. In this group, Rhipicephalus sanguineus (Latreille, 1806 ) stands out for its wide distribution on all continents and parasitize mainly the domestic dog. The ticks are required by hematophagous organisms have bodies that allow this process have great success in achieving both food, the digestion of blood components through respectively the salivary gland and intestine. The enzyme used arsenal comprises elements such as acid phosphatase, the calreticulinas and cathepsins, so the study of these different organs becomes very important to know the mode of action of these proteins that can generate new subsidies for the acquisition and development of new methods of control of these ectoparasites such as vaccines. Thus, this project will be aimed at identifying the presence of proteolytic enzymes, calreticulim and esterases (acid phosphatases) present in the salivary glands and gut of Rhipicephalus sanguineus female ticks fed on hosts (rabbits) immunized and not immunized.
