Abstract

With the development of CAD software and the incorporation of generative design methods to systems in recent years, a new range of possibilities emerged in the field of development of complex projects, especially in architecture. Architects can now master a new language in project development, in which the computer plays a key role. This feature allows not only the development of structures previously not feasible, but also provides a new creation space where ideas can be developed, refined and redefined with greater flexibility.Although its recent creaton, Parametric Modeling is already incorporated by the big international offices and schools of architecture. However, this practice still faces much resistance in Brazil, and it's of paramount importance that this new language achieves proper consolidation in the country. This research aims to investigate new trends with the use of digital resources and its impact on architecture. Case studies and modeling of 3 buildings are going to be made: The Aviva Stadium (Ireland); Water Cube (China) and the Federation Square (Australia). Also, physical models are going to be produced in order to collaborate with the doctoral research of André Luís Araújo, which is going to perform structural testings of the buildings in question.
