Abstract

The interest in cinema is because of this object is a tool of expression and communication that merges artistic production and marketing, and in the case of Brazil it reflects and builds historically thought about the idea of being a Brazilian. The main focus of the work is on contemporary national film production company co-producer and distributor of filmes is Globo Filmes, with the propose of recognizing how the Brazilian is portrayed in movies. We are attentive to the significant presence of this company in national and international film market, given that the production of the content of Globo Filmes follows an accelerated pace (until the end of the year 2014, Globo Filmes was directly involved in the production of 155 filmes) and it says a project to strengthen the Brazilian audiovisual industry. Undertaking a cutout taht is justified later in the study will be dedicated to the analysis of synopses, movies and disclosure materials on them, aiming to understand the sociological representation of Brazilian identity in the Globo Filmes production of films.
