Abstract

This stage aims to provide tools the researcher in the data analysis of filming of mother-infant interaction expressed in the Still-Face (LOPES-DOS-SANTOS; FUERTES, 2004) from Child-Adult Relationship Experimental Index - CARE-Index (CRITTENDEN, 2003) for analysis of mother-infant interaction. This stage is part of the research "Child development and mother-infant interaction: prematurity and the influence of maternal variables" (PQ2 Researcher, CNPq) and also the Master's research conducted under my guidance "Temperament and prematurity: influences on the interaction mother-baby "(FAPESP, case No. 2014 / 10653-4). The mother-infant interaction is recorded from experimental paradigm Face-to-Face Still-Face (Tronick et al., 1978). The Still-Face consists in baby observation in three episodes of interaction with the adult, which lasts three minutes each. In the first, we request the mother to interact with your baby as you normally do. After three minutes, it changes the interaction and remain expressionless, looking at the baby, however, emits no response to the child. After three minutes, the mother is instructed to return to interact normally with the baby. It is planned initially, the analysis of 20 mother-infant interaction of filming. For this, will be used filming of the database of the University of Porto and, also, the data collected in Brazil by the researcher and advisees, until the time of the stage. The internship will be conducted in two stages, each lasting one week each. The first step will consist in the study of protocol analysis of the mother-infant interaction and in the second, the footage will be analyzed again and again until you reach the 80% reliability rate with other researchers, experts in the observation of mother-infant interaction and use of protocols, which also enable the resolution of doubts. Data analysis will occur from of the system of coding and analysis of child behaviors created by Lopes-of-Santos and Fuertes (2004). The internship will provide conditions for the analysis of filming to be made here from the training of other researchers (masters and undergraduates) ensuring the assessment of reliability, important for validation.
