Meteorological-oceanographic events extreme as hangovers and positive storm tides (high tide) are of paramount importance to understand the dynamics of coastal processes. This research project in which is linked to the thematic project "Metropole: An integrated framework to analyze the local decision making and adaptive capacity large-scale environmental change: Community case studies in Brazil, UK and the US" or "An integrated framework for analyze local decision-making and adaptive capacity to environmental change of scale: case studies of communities in Brazil, United Kingdom and the United States "are intended to update the database produced by the Geological Institute (1960 -2011) and the characterization the new outline of events, showing their differences and similarities, made by newspaper news consultations in the region and other institutions database as INPE, National Oceanographic Data Bank, DAEE, etc. (AU)
