Abstract Most representatives of Paullinieae and Thouinieae are lianas and their relationship within Sapindaceae are still unclear (depending on molecular markers, different phylogenetic relationships may emerge). Thus, genome-wide analyses represent a promissing approach to: 1) understand these intricated relatioships at the genus level, 2) stablish genus- and (if appropriate) tribe-level circunscriptions for this clade, and 3) investigate the evolution of major morphological characters within the clade. Based on a worldwide sampling, this project will also make possible to understand the biogeographical patterns of the clade. This project will use Illumina sequencing technology and both de-novo (at the genus level) and mapping (species-level within each genus) assemblies. (AU) | |
