Abstract

Here we present a request for a Research Training Abroad Scholarship (Bolsa Estágio de Pesquisa no Exterior - BEPE) linked to the process FAPESP 2014 / 25472-5, whose main objective is to analyze the land use strategies of SLC Agrícola company on brazilian territory. In times of strong financial expansion of the historical geography of capitalism, as in the current period of globalization, the financial logic prevails over economic logic and becomes autonomous in the face of societies and the real economy and by imposing its profitability standards for enterprise and territory . However, the strategies and the scope of action of different financial agents are not independent of socio-training, its forms and its norms. Thus, for understanding the relationship between the current global financial phenomenon and the agricultural use of the land is necessary to deepen in the studies of Land Grabbing. To do so, this research project abroad aims to conduct a theoretical study on the concept of Land Grabbing through literature, reading texts, and theoretical study at the Centro de Estudios en Antropología - IDEAS at Universidad General de San Martino (UNSAM) during the second semester of 2015.] (AU)
