Abstract To provide an accurate picture of Macao's genealogy, we proceeded a study on the descend and family formation of the Macanese people. That purpose is due to the discovery of baptisms stored records in Macao Historical Archives, where many orphans appear without family names, but in Macau, all individuals have a last name legally. What kind of individuals married orphans is the question that is at the basis of this investigation. Hence the proposal to collect marriage records and related deaths period. | |
