Abstract

The purpose of this project for a Research Internship Abroad (BEPE) is to complement the Post-doctoral research entitled, The peasants and the land of Gaul in the Late Roman Empire, being developed under a scholarship granted by FAPESP (Process Number 2014/18612-5) at the University of São Paulo. It presents the goals, the working plan, and the implementation schedule the proponent intends to develop during a 9-month internship at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Professor Bryan Ward-Perkins of Trinity College. The activities planned for the internship focus on having the research supervised by an expert scholar in the field of Late Antiquity History and Archaeology, on exchanging research experience in an international academic environment by taking part in conferences and seminars, thus internationalizing the research, and on studying in the Bodleian libraries.
