Abstract Fungi of Ceratocystis fimbriata complex are responsible for causing the Ceratocystis wilting disease in plants such as cocoa, mango, eucalyptus, among others, generating economic losses to agriculture. There is not complete genome, transcriptome, proteome or metabolome data of C. fimbriata complex species that could allow a thorough knowledge of Ceratocystis wilting disease. Thus, the objective of this project is to study the metabolome of two fungi of this complex: C. cacaofunesta, which is specific of cocoa, and C. fimbriata, which infects other plants. The study will be performed using mass spectrometry techniques ESI-Q-TOF (electrospray ionization quadrupole/time-of-flight) and MALDI-TOF IMS (matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight imaging mass spectrometry). | |
