Abstract

The goal of this project is to learn about parametric modeling of tension structures through IxCube 4.10, a software that simplifies the processes of modeling in this particular kind of structure, which often is very complex due to its non-linear behavior. The software was selected due to its simplified methods of form-finding, which one of them was developed by the guiding professor. Besides, the CADRhinoceros integration (software widely used in design and architecture areas through the world), the pattern production tool and the possibility of structural analysis simulation were also elements that incited the choice.
