Abstract

Sperm sexing to obtain semen doses with a high percentage of gametes carrying X or Y chromosome, makes even more relevant the role of artificial insemination on maximizing genetic progress between generations; productivity and economic return in some livestock activities; in mammals assisted reproduction; and genetic human species counseling. The objectives of this project are study protein content of semen samples containing sperm carrying X and Y chromosome identifying by mass spectrometry to select sex-specific proteins; that in future studies will be used for antibodies sex-especifics production and sperm imuno-sexing
