Abstract

The Phonological Disorder (PD) is one of the most frequent in infant population. It is characterized by the inability or difficulty of the individual in using expected sounds for the tipically developing (TD) age. The severity varies from mild to severe, with heterogeneous manifestation. The speech disorders found in PD are variable, which the devoicing of fricatives are observed. To understand the mechanisms involved in the production of these sounds can contribute not only for the identification of the alterations but as well as in the application of more effective procedures in speech therapy. Purpose: describe phonological measures, electroglottography and aerodinamic signals of the voiced fricative /’/ and devoiced fricative /ƒ/, in children with PD and TD of speech and language. Method: 15 children with TD and 15 children with PD will participate. The phonologial processes and fonetic inventory will be analyzed, the Percentage of Correct Consonant index (PCC) and Percentage Of Correct Consonant-Revised index (PCC-R) will be calculated, and the acoustic, eletroglottography, and aerodinamic measures will be collected, by naming figures with voiced frivative sound /’/ and devoiced fricative sound /ƒ/.
