Abstract

Syndicated Urban Operations are defined as urban instruments that rely on public-private partnership so as to promote improvement actions in certain areas of the city. Also counting with the participation of civil society in defining their priorities, argues that these actions would be aimed at the common good. In this sense the analysis of the dynamics of the Consortium Urban Operations in the metropolis is of great importance to the extent that form one of the main instruments of intervention in the urban space that constitute a broader process and forming complex in the city of São Paulo. This research project aims to continue the study of Urban Operations Consortium in São Paulo focusing on the Urban Operation Água Branca, trying to understand the relationship between this operation and the urban transformation processes in its perimeter and its surroundings adjacent. It also seeks to understand the relationship between this operation and the Arc Tiete Project, since their fields appear to overlap, as well as the issue of urban mobility and other structures established by that instrument. Coupled to this, it has the intention to continue the research conducted by the Center for Pesqui-sa NAPUrb: Urbanization and Globalization: New Urban Space Production Process, which addresses issues concerning the production of contemporary urban space, especially in the metropolis. Seeks to understand the Urban Operations Consortium in São Paulo as urban instrument participant of this extensive process, taking as empirical object the Urban Operation Água Branca in line with research on Operation Urban Águas Espraiadas, developed in the same research group by Luiana Cardozo.
