Abstract Under the Public Health Care seeing, the whole load of physical and psychiatric diseasesinto the prisional system show a challenge and an opportunity for multiple actions all over the world.the prisions are a privileged place for contact with millions of people, most of the time out of the reachfor de normal health care systems based on communities.For those, majority composed by young people, prision can be an opportunity for diagnosis, education intohealth care, diseases menagement, advise and also treatament that those might not be receiveing before.Altought majority of prisioners go back to their communities with physical and mental morbidities with no treatment, sometimes also worse tham before being encarcerated.Main Goal: Is to analysis the prevalence and factors associated to violence in the life before being encarcerated of the women on Penitenciaria Feminina de Campinas/SP.Method: this study is an discriptive analysis of the historic of physical, sexual and mental violence suffered by inmates in adolescence, also as, the year before reclusion.And is a part of a bigger work called: "Atenção Integral a Saude da Mulher no Carcere e dos Servidores da Penitenciaria Feminina de Campinas/SP (Full Attention to the woman and workers healthinto the Female Prison of Campinas/SP)" that was a transversal study realized between August 2012 - July 2013.this study is importante cause of the increasing number of female prisioners that hasn't been studied yet, and understand their necessities to improve their health.Into some gender specific demanded care, violence against women, deserves especial attention, since it is a recurring grievance that have been causing irreparable damagesto mental and physical of the victims, this must be considered a public health care issue. | |
