Abstract

The increase in productivity and profitability of the industrial sector leads the current industries to be concerned more with the security of their systems and equipment, and the need to monitor them constantly for rapid detection and action in case of failure. In real systems, various system parameters may vary during the process due to the characteristics of the materials themselves or natural wear of its components. Even in well-designed systems, the occurrence of cracks in certain components can cause economic loss or lead to lack of security. The methodology of the state observer enables the reconstruction of states unmeasured system, provided that it is observable, making it possible to estimate measurements in inaccessible places or unmeasured system. This technique consists of building a model for the system to be analyzed and compare the estimated output with measured output and the difference signal resulting from a residue which is subsequently used for analysis. In this way, we intend to develop a methodology to generate state observers of banks associated with a crack model for monitoring the progress of it, applying it through computational and experimental validation simulation, using a cantilever beam mounted on an inertial table Vibrations Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Ilha Solteira.
