Abstract

This internship project at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS-Paris), supervised by Prof. Dr. Michael Löwy, seeks to deepen the analysis of the cultural context in which exiled artists Julio Le Parc and Gontran Guanaes Netto were engaged, based on sources (books, theses, works, reproductions, catalogs, periodicals, promotional materials, letters, etc.) found and already consulted in libraries, archives, and collections in the cities of Cachan and Paris. In this way, the internship will allow us to detail this collective elaboration of an imaginary space understood to be able to solve the "non-simultaneity" of the conflictual relationship between the religious heritage of humanism and a new anti-capitalist (non-contemplative) concept of totality.
