Abstract

This research has the objective to purpose a study about the translation of the Bible to Portuguese, starting with the following question: What makes the Bibles in Portuguese have so many semantic differences? Therefore, we intend to conduct a study together with the Centre in Linguistics of New University of Lisbon, from the biblical copies which are in the National Library of Portugal, about what define these differences in translations of the Bible. Would it be a problem of enunciation? These are one of the questions that we intend to answer. To work with it, we will analyze through the theoretical perspective of Émile Benveniste, with the enunciative categories, and through the Semântica do Acontecimento of Eduardo Guimarães, the reescritura.
