In this work, we study the durability of diamond coating on three types inserts (Si3N4, Al2O3, and WC-Co) with complex geometries. HFCVD reactor is used to grow diamond films in the present work. Machining tests will be conducted using the inserts. The samples are characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (morphology and microstructural properties), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Raman Spectroscopy (to evaluate the residual stresses).
