Abstract

This work presents a project aimed at obtaining and analyzing data to relate triaxial stresses with the true fracture strain of AISI H13 tool steel. The studies carried out here will provide information to feed numerical models that consider the failure of this type of material. This procedure will help the progress of a larger research project, which is currently being developed by a group that cooperates with the advisor of this work. The required data will be obtained by observing the behavior of notched specimens subjected to tensile tests. The results will allow the analysis of the influence of the stress state of the material on its failure behavior when loaded.
