It is aim of this research also conduct an empirical correlation analysis between mathematics performance and family income and level of parental education in order to verify the existence of a direct relationship between these indicators. To achieve this goal, will be considered math scores in SARESP between the years 2010 and 2014, provided by the State Department of Education of São Paulo - SEE / SP, besides the socioeconomic questionnaire answered by the parents of participating students. As from the organization, through tables and graphs, and interpreting data, we expect to provide an overview on the current familiar scenario of high school students from public school system, considering the income and education level from parents. With the results of the empirical analysis of correlation we will identify which proficiency levels are correlated, positively or negatively, wit family income and level of parental education.
