Abstract

In this work, it is proposed to study Fe-Ni-Co alloys and nanoalloys using different experimental techniques to identify and characterize the phases in the materials, as well as their thermal, mechanical and magnetic properties and compare the obtained results with those that will be collected from the Fe-Ni-Co nanoalloys synthesized via successive reductions (Core-Shell method). These materials may be applied in thermomagnetic motors, already in development by the research group. The group already has two built prototypes of these motors in the laboratory in which the work will be developed. The obtained results in this project will contribute to the understanding of the thermal, mechanical and magnetic behaviors of the alloys of the Fe-Ni-Co system and to the understanding of the phenomena, which occur on the transition from a bulk to a nanometric material. Furthermore, the results will contribute to the development of sustainable thermomagnetic motors that will utilize solar energy or industrial thermal waste to generate electrical energy, utilizing the features of the alloys and nanoalloys studied.
