Abstract

From the socioeconomics point-of-view, the bioenergy derived from sugarcane stands for the great capacity of job creation (direct and indirect) and yield, because of the high capillarity, locally, in comparison to the oil and derivatives. From the environment point-of-view, as flexible culture, highly sustainable, high potential to mitigate the climate change effects and the possibility to expand and recover degraded areas, in addition to being capable to reduce external energy dependence (oil and derivatives). The proposal research, inserts in the LACAf-Cane-I context with the purpose of be auxiliary on socioeconomic studies for selected countries from Latin America, Caribe and Africa through selected indicators and some relevant methodologies (input-output, econometrics, social network analysis, SWOT analysis, etc.).
