Several studies have been done on the variable level of "maturity for career choice" and "birth order", but there were no investigations into the relationship between them. Due to this gap, this study aims to investigate the relationship between the level of maturity for career choice and birth order in adolescents who participated in interventions in vocational guidance, as the categories of birth order: only child, firstborns, middleborns, and lastborns. The data will be obtained through the service registers of the Vocational Guidance Service of the years from 2003 to 2013. The sample consists of approximately 700 ex-users, who responded to Career Choice Maturity Scale (Escala de Maturidade para a Escolha Profissional, EMEP) of Neiva (1999). The EMEP consists of five subscales: determination, responsibility, independence, self-knowledge and knowledge of the socio-educational and professional reality. The data will be organized in SPSS software, version 22.0 and the relationship between the study variables, including the gender variable, will be statistically analyzed.
