Abstract

Relevance of scientific knowledge is incontestable in our society. It is mandatory that our society be well informed and take awareness to deal with scientific questions. Into a information society like ours, the obtainment of reliable and relevant contents constitutes a challenge in that Scientific Journalism has central importance. Rigour and critical thinking are Journalism's essential tools to be used together scientific practice. The present work aims to produce journalistic materials to scientific divulgation of researches from Research Center for Chemistry, Biology and Agriculture (CPQBA/Unicamp). The divulgation products will be broadcasted through publications of Laboratory of Advanced Studies in Journalism (Labjor/Unicamp), namely, electronic journal ComCiência and Ciência & Cultura magazine and trough a weblog.Due to increasing importance of Chemical, Biological and Agricultural sciences in the scientific context and their great implications on society, the divulgation of research works developed at this reference center is highly important to inform population and qualify the debate concerning these themes.
