Abstract

The system of production of sugarcane, using agricultural mechanization promotes the intense traffic on the soil, resulting in compaction and its harmful effects on soil physical attributes, reflecting on crop productivity. In seeking to minimize these effects, appears system of management with controlled traffic, where the lines of traffic concentrate the constant compaction of the soil, so a small area of culture is sacrificed on behalf of not having any traffic of the tires in most of the field reducing to influence the compaction on the growth. The objective of this work is to study the changes in the physics and mechanics soil attributes and its effect on the roots development and productivity of sugarcane mechanically harvested with management systems with and without controlled traffic and autopilot and planted with simple spacing and combined double row spacing, thus aiming to study the cumulative effect of traffic on soil physical properties as adds the number of ratoons. The work consists of evaluate the first e second ratoon cane in area with clay soil, located at Usina Santa Fe, in the City of New Europe, in São Paulo State, continuing the work done in the years 2012-2015 which evaluated the effects on plant and ratoon cane. The experiment has a delineation by randomized block, with three treatments, four repetitions and plots with dimensions of 30 m x 50 m. The adopted treatments are T1: sugarcane planted with simple spacing (1,5 m) and managed without autopilot; T2: sugarcane planted with simple spacing (1,5 m) and managed with automatic pilot; and T3: sugarcane planted with double row spacing (1,50 x 0,90 m) and managed with autopilot.
