NK cells are a specific lineage lymphocytes with effector functions Cytotoxicity and cytokine production, dependent on a dynamic equilibrium between ativatórios expression and inhibitory receptors and cytokine receptors. Attwo functions (cytotoxic and secretory), both mediated by the activation of receptors by their ligands, NK cells are important components of hematopoiesis, capable ofeliminate targets likely through multiple mechanisms and recruit other cells and amplify the inflammatory response. On incompatibility between the target cells and NK effector cells, the cytotoxic effects predominate; while in the absence of incompatibility effects mediated by cytokines on the cells other Hematopoietic excel. Interests us, particularly in this project Young researcher, potential regulation of hematopoietic stem cells by cytokinesproduced by NK cells (such as IFNg, TNFa, TGFb, GM-CSF, MIP1±, MIP1², IL10). Despite the importance of NK cells in immunity and hematopoiesis, little is known about the molecular mechanisms that regulate them. It is known that the transcription factor C/EBPG (English, CCAAT/enhancer binding protein gamma) is involved in functional maturation of NK cells. However, the mediators of this regulation are not known. Thus, we want this proposal to study the mechanismsdependent on the C/EBPG that regulate secretory functions of NK cells. (AU)
