Abstract

The goal of this work is to study orbits for a spacecraft whose mission is to orbit a double and a triple asteroid system. The asteroids can be modeled as mass points initially, and then they will be treated as ellipsoids of different sizes. Stable natural orbits for a spacecraft will be sought. After this step, orbital maneuvers in the system will be studied in order to change the position of the spacecraft to allow the study of all the bodies of the system. The arrival maneuvers to the system will also be considered, aiming to reduce the fuel consumption of this crucial stage of the mission. The last step of the mission will also be considered, where different ways to generate a collision of the spacecraft with the central body will be studied. This step is very important because many scientific data can be obtained in this phase, in particular regarding the composition of the bodies.
