Abstract

This research aims to investigate issues related to theatrical aesthetics and Samuel Beckett's work as director of his own plays. Therefore, we will delimitate as this research study object the late plays of Samuel Beckett (1906-1989), ie, the dramaturgy created by the author over the last two decades of his production, as well as the notes of the staging process of some of these plays, contained in the theatrical notebooks of Samuel Beckett. As hypothesis of this research, we have the confirmation or refutation of the question of the relevance and impact of Samuel Beckett's work as director of his own plays in the creation and aesthetic development of his late dramaturgy, whose texts are known as dramaticules.
