Salmonella is among the main causative agent of FoodBorne diseases outbreaks around the world, concerning not only public and health authorities, but also food industries. Listeria monocytogenes is the bacterial agent of listeriosis, illness with high rate of mortality, especially between elderly, children, immune-depleted patients and neonates. Both pathogens are capable of biofilm formation on biotic and abiotic surfaces, and its eradication is difficult to achieve once established. Several approaches to understand bacterial colonization and developed resistance mechanisms were taken along the past years. However, the most methodologies only take account the whole population, without considering variation among individual cells. This project proposes to evaluate the biofilm formation on food contact surfaces when submitted to external stress or not
