Abstract

The proposed project aims to study the effects of the existing earmarked credit polices in Brazil on distributions of income, of firms size and on the total factor productivity (TFP). To do so, it will be built a general equilibrium model with heterogeneous agents able to incorporate the frictions present in the Brazilian credit market. Then the model will be calibrated/estimated, being that the advantage of the present work in this stage is the acess to the SCR (Credit Information System) provided by Central Bank of Brazil (BCB). A comprehensive database that contains information on all contracts of loans signed by individuals or legal entities in the country. At last, it will be conducted counterfactual exercises by changing the credit policy parameters to analyze the impact of earmarked credit polices on the variables of interest (AU)
