Abstract

This project will study optical sensors to characterize the wind speed and direction. They will be optical using Fiber Bragg Gratings and based on the Arduino open source platform. In the case of the optical sensors the fibers will be integrated in flexible polymeric molds in order to distribute them in all directions - north, south, east, west - as well as a central fiber to measure temperature.
