Abstract Studies and applications of mesoscopic superconducting materials have been intensified on the last years, mainly due to the advances of nanofabrication techniques. Such materials are governed by confinement effects of the vortex matter and then, new physical phenomena rise, which are not entirely comprehended. One of the applications of mesoscopic superconductors is the single photon detectors. Those devices work with an applied transport current near the Jc of the material, which can also induces the formation of a resistive state characterized by the phase slip lines. Thus, aiming for a better comprehension of dynamics of such systems, we will simulate mesoscopic superconducting samples with a blind slit dividing the sample in two grains. Our focus will be the study of the kinematic vortex dynamics formed in the defect under different intensities of the applied magnetic field. It is worth to mention that the present study is part of a greater study, which has been carried out granted by FAPESP (grants 2013/17719-8 and 2016/12390-6). (AU) | |
