Abstract

This project proposes a twelve-month research internship in the Department of Sociology of Universidad de Chile in order to increase theoretical debates and contribute to a broader understanding of the social and political aspects of the Chilean reality. This proposal is part of the PhD research in progress "Public Policies and Feminisms: Strategies for building women's autonomy", which has developed a comparative analysis between the experiences of building and implementing policies for women in Brazil and Chile in recent years, focusing on the different forms of interaction between feminisms and states in the construction of policies to encourage women's participation. Recent transformations in the political scenarios in both countries represent new challenges and conjunctures, generating new research questions. In this sense, the exchange in Chile aims to provide tools for a better understanding and analysis of the political and social processes in the country, contributing to the critical development of PhD research in progress.
