Abstract

This study seeks to analyze the health of the worker in coffee farming in the municipality of St. Thomas Aquinas, MG. To this end, it discusses, in the first moment, the importance of coffee production for the social economy, the Brazilian training formation of large coffee farms, and the expropriation of land from the peasants, who have become, in your vast majority workers. Then search analyze the peculiarities of this work for the health of the workers, with specific focus to the city now. The methodology is based on bibliographic studies, analysis of documents such as reports, newspapers and online, among others, and also in the collection of empirical data, which will be by means of semi-structured interviews with ten workers of the plantation of coffee and two social workers from the city of St. Thomas Aquinas. The choice of the subject of the research occurs after the event, but should understand coffee workers of both sexes and that have a history of working with latest time (until 03 years) and oldest (over three years) in the coffee-growing tillages of that municipality. The social workers to be interviewed should be one of the area of social assistance and other health. This study is expected to understand the social and working relationships that pervade the workplace in coffee growing and approaching Social services as regards the recognition of problems experienced by rural workers and their actions.
