Abstract

In this post doc will be evaluate the impact of key geophysical factors on analysis of pasture performance gaps and intensification potential using climate binning. Overview. A key goal of pasture analysis is to evaluate the extent to which management factors can have the potential to increase yield. By binning land for which annual precipitation and degree days vary over only a small range, the climate binning approach takes into account the impact of these variables on yield. However, additional factors beyond the control of the land manager may also impact yield. Three such factors will be examined: soil, seasonal variability ofprecipitation, and climate change.
