Abstract This research project is linked to the ongoing project: "Yesterday's Tomorrow: The Futurians and American Science Fiction in the 1940s" developed in the Graduate Program in Social History of the University of São Paulo (USP) with the support of a fellowship awarded by FAPESP. As part of that ongoing project, it seeks to demonstrate the importance of a research internship abroad as a way of accessing the original publications of the research sources and also to expand these sources in order to deepen the discussions and thus enrich the work. To do so, it forecasts a four-month research period in The Eaton Collection, located at the University of California-Riverside. Considered one of the world's the largest collections of science fiction, it houses most of the publications made by members of The Futurians in the 1940s. | |
