Abstract

This project has as object the hair transition, through which it intends to discuss there relation between body and hair as black a esthetics constituents. The project objective is to understand the blackwomen's identities construction from the passage through the Hair Transition process, whose experiences are somehow relate with digital media. Thus, the project orientation aims to achieve three specific objectives as: analyze the discussions on the topic from the blog cacheia.com content; Analyze the experiences of women who have passed or are under going the Hair Transition, as identification processes that directly impact on their subjectivities, and finally; analyze if the term "hair transition" is understood by these women as with meanings beyond the aesthetic change dimension; If it impacted on their ethnic-racial belonging affirmation and as representation of a resistance political act to white aesthetic standards and the racialization processes, conforming a black aesthetics appreciation . To achieve these objectives we will combine: content analysis techniques and, in theoretical terms, mobilize especially Postcolonial Brazil Studies (AU)
