Abstract

ABSTRACT: This essay intends to show that, on the one hand, while building an idealistic image of the indian, inserting them into the context of flights and with paradigms proceeding both from the indian romance and the popular novel, the cord poets also come up with the image of heroes that, among many others, represent, on the imaginary plan, the desire of revenge against the institutional power, and overcoming the daily adversities. In addition, on the other hand, while idealizing the indian and their condition, they tend to make up or ignore the truth of the situation lived by the indian communities in the Brazilian Northeast, which is intended to be proven consulting recent studies on the situation of the indian communities in the region that time when the selected leaflets for this research were written.
