Abstract

This study will be conducted to evaluate the serum biochemical profile of broilers fed with the addition of passion fruit seed oil. Triglyceride and cholesterol levels, antibody titres against New Castle disease, differential leukocyte count and heterofil / lymphocyte ratio, and blood oxidation determine. A total of 1,680 one-day-old male Cobb male, will be used in 56 boxes of 2.0 m² with 30 birds per box with a density of 15 birds/m². The design will be completely randomized, with seven treatments (positive and negative control and five levels of inclusion of passion fruit seed oil: 0,10, 0,20, 0,30, 0,40 and 0,50% in substitution of soybean oil) and eight replicates. The experimental diets will be devoid of antibiotics as performance improver, with anticoccidial being used in all treatments, and only the positive control will receive antibiotic inclusion. (AU)
