Abstract This project of Scientific Initiation deals with the topical analysis of the Solo Violin Concerto by spanish composer José Palomino (1755-1810) as a basis for musical interpretation, from manuscripts made available by the National Library of Portugal. Around this analysis, which deals with the problems of musical significance from Topics Theory, we will study the approach of gallant thinking in the musical language by the composer in this work, which illustrates the treatment of the violin soloist in the Iberian repertoire of the second half of the eighteenth century and, in the light of recent research on instrumental practice in the Iberian Peninsula, the possibilities of performance reconstruction will be evaluated, crossing the issues of Topics Theory with the current of Historically Informed Performance (HIP). From this perspective, the research intends to culminate in the recording of a performance of the work. | |
