Abstract

Assuming that emotions are a social construct and of high impact in the social construction of the markets, we will analyze what is the emotional ideal expressed in the official discourse of the corporate universe through Exame Magazine. With the theoretical inspiration of Economic Sociology, especially concepts of Viviana Zelizer and Pierre Bourdieu reflective sociology, we intend to identify the extent to which this official discourse of Brazilian corporations expressed in Revista Exame approaches or departs from hegemonic designs of masculinity and femininity to recognize in which contexts this ideal is incorporated or rejected by executive women.
