Abstract

In present day society, reading is fundamental and although computational technology is becoming more and more relevant in every aspect of life, these technologies are not used in favor of literacy practices. This research aims to explore the concept of "collaborative reading" with the use of contemporary technologies by parting from a theoretical construction of this idea, by proposing an interaction model and a text format in this model, by developing a socioenactive system which represents such interactions and by implementing test and evaluation of the project in real life situations. This concept can possibly shift the original notion of reading from an individual activity to a more collaborative form of interaction, especially in virtual environments that are the more recent birthplaces of new forms of literacy. This research can help the development of more interactive pedagogical tools for text comprehension and interpretation, contributing to the education area, specially to the insertion of new literacy practices.
