Abstract The advanced treatment process UV/H2O2 has proven to be effective for the elimination of organic contaminants and the inactivation of several microorganisms in water. However, due to the variation in the composition of the effluents and the variation of the reactive portion of the organic matter, often the oxidizing agent is placed at a concentration insufficient or much more than desired, causing an increase in costs. In this part of the project, the experiments would be done with more potent methods in order to study the feasibility of increasing the amount of radicals to minimize the influence of the process inhibitors. The methods used would be UV/O3 and UV/O3/H2O2. | |
