Abstract

The present project has the objective to evaluate the dispersion of a conductive phase (carbon black or carbon nanotube) in the piezoelectric, dielectric and electrical properties polymer/ferroelectric ceramic piezoelectric composite with 1-3 connectivity aiming their use as energy harvesting. In order to obtain the composites, two polymer matrices will be used as support for the ceramic microwires, namely: silicone rubber and polyester resin. A study of the electrical and dielectric properties of the composites will be carried out using the dc current and impedance spectroscopy technique, in which it is intended to analyze the electrical conduction processes that occur in the material. The piezoelectric coefficient of the samples will be performed as a function of the applied electric field, the quantity of PZT ceramic microwires and the amount of conductive particulate. A comparative analysis between the results that will be obtained in the work, with the data of the literature will be carried out with the intention of investigating if the methodologies developed will positively impact the dielectric, electrical and piezoelectric properties of the study material. Finally, the potentiality of the samples in the application of energy collection device will be investigated. (AU)
