Abstract

This scientific dissemination project emerges as a pressing need to make the results of the Thematic Project "Micromachining with ultrashort laser pulses applied to the production and control of optofluidic circuits" available to the larger public. It is our responsibility to let the non-specialized public access and benefit from the results of e.g. laboratory tests of lab-on-a-chip devices for point-of-care and also to stimulate the synergy of the scientific community, especially within the Institute of Nuclear and Energy Research (IPEN/SP), which should result in increased productivity (e.g. improvements in the synthesis of radiopharmaceuticals and new nanomaterials).Adding to the results cited, this project aims to disseminate pioneering role of the Center for Lasers and Applications (CLA) in the production and application of lasers in areas of great economic importance to Brazil (such as health and the environment), and the relevance of the products and services provided by IPEN to society (such as radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear safety).With a substantiated methodology based on scientific research and journalism premises, this dissemination project will use a variety of resources as a means of communication (texts, videos and audios), in order to maximize the reach of the information and the use of the available tools.
