Abstract

Traditionally, the sports are linked to the masculinity ideals, being usual the promotion to the sport practice among men, what, supposedly, would assist in the development of skills and the desirable characteristics to them: virility, courage and strength. Such a perspective is related to the established gender rules, which classify and qualify the bodies according the binary principle of the sex-gender system. In the Brazilian context, the football is the sport in where such concerns show up more blunt, specially because of the visibility-occultation game in the media that, arbitrated by several interests and dominant forces, puts the masculine football on focus and overshadows the feminine one. Based on these considerations, we raised the following questions: how did constitute the actual frame of feminine football in Brazil? What would be the existence modes forged by women that practice the football in the professional and forming levels? What are the possible conditions to the expansion of women subjectivation in the feminine football, nowadays? Starting from these questions, this project's goal is to investigate the experience of women who practice football. To do so, this research will be based on the results of other studies about this subject, through a large bibliographic survey in specialized databases, and on a field research with girls in the first stages of the football athlete's career and women who are already in this profession. Such a fieldwork will be executed in a football club that has youth teams and a professional feminine football team. We will adopted the cartography as a methodological attitude, understanding that the reality is a complex production which is in constant movement and that the act of following processes constitutes the main strategy of the researching activity.
