Abstract

The global governmental debate about pesticides has substantial importance in the international scene. The use consequences of these products for the human health are a big conflict between transnational social movements and the governmental and business aspects. Thus, the research has as objective analyses the local and global initiatives related to the pesticides use combat, encompassing different actors levels beings in the process, well as the resistance strategies adopted. The São Paulo project-law 891/2013 construction analysis, foresees the prohibition of the use and commercialization of eleven types of pesticides within municipality in question, as study reference. Therefore, in addition the books, articles, reports bibliographical, analyzes of official documents, semi-structured interviews will be conducted with formal authors and social movements involved in drafting the bill for the complete understanding of relations between global and local initiatives of resistance.
