Abstract

In the eastern portion of the Santa Quitéria, magmatic arc was identified ultra-high pressure (UHP) metamorphic rocks and probably ultra-high temperature (UHT) conditions defined by garnet-corundum association. This project aims the detail mapping (1:10,000) around 40 km² of the region where these rocks occur. It is expected to define the structural context in which these rocks occur, as well as the identification of new bodies and define the metamorphic conditions in the area. (AU)
