Abstract

This Scientific Initiation Project aims to investigate the electrochemical properties of hybrid films containing a Keggin type polyoxometalate, phosphotungstic acid,immobilized in matrices of organically modified silica (known as ormosil). In addition, electrocatalytic properties of the films will be explored toward the herbicide prometona nd nitrite. Spectroscopic techniques such as Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonanceand Absorption in the infra-red region will be used to characterize the ormosils in the powder form. Through this findings, we hope to contribute in applications of environmental and health areas.
